board & train
more freedom. greater reliability. adventure built together.
3-week on leash immersion
Adventure Immersion is a five-week, home-based Board & Train experience designed to take your dog beyond everyday obedience and build the communication, reliability, and confidence needed for greater freedom together.
Throughout their stay, your dog becomes part of everyday life in my home—training through household routines, neighborhood walks, public outings, outdoor adventures, and real-world experiences that help their skills become more practical and dependable.
We’ll build on foundational obedience while developing reliable recall, off-leash communication, distance work, engagement, impulse control, and responsiveness around distractions. As your dog progresses, training expands into increasingly challenging environments where they can learn to make good choices even when there’s more freedom involved.
Rather than teaching your dog to simply perform without a leash, we’re building the communication and reliability that earn that freedom—so you can confidently experience more of life together.
IS ADVENTURE RIGHT FOR YOUR DOG?
MORE FREEDOM FOR THE LIFE YOU WANT TO LIVE TOGETHER.
Adventure Immersion is designed for dogs and owners who want to go beyond everyday manners and build the reliability needed for a more active, adventurous life together.
Over five weeks, we’ll strengthen your dog’s foundational skills while introducing advanced obedience, off-leash communication, recall, distance work, and greater reliability around real-world distractions. Training is woven into everyday life and expanded into parks, trails, outdoor spaces, dog-friendly environments, and adventures appropriate for your individual dog.
The goal isn’t simply to have a dog who can be off leash—it’s to build the communication, responsiveness, and decision-making that make greater freedom possible.
THIS MAY BE THE RIGHT FIT IF:
✓ Your dog has basic foundational obedience but needs greater reliability
✓ You want a stronger, more dependable recall
✓ You want to work toward safe, responsible off-leash freedom
✓ Your dog struggles to stay engaged around distractions
✓ You enjoy hiking, camping, lake days, travel, or other adventures with your dog
✓ You want stronger distance control and responsiveness

YOUR DOG’S 5-WEEK JOURNEY
PROGRAMS BUILT ONE DAY AT A TIME
WEEK ONE
foundation & connection
The first week is about slowing down, getting to know your dog, and creating the foundation we’ll build on throughout their five-week stay. We’ll prioritize decompression, trust, and building a genuine rapport while helping your dog settle comfortably into their new environment and daily routine.
Through play, exercise, enrichment, crate training, household routines, and everyday interactions, I’ll learn more about your dog’s personality, motivations, communication style, confidence, and existing training. We’ll also evaluate their current obedience and recall to understand where their skills are strongest and where they need additional support.
Training begins with strengthening engagement, communication, leash handling, foundational obedience, impulse control, and responsiveness while introducing the structure and expectations that will carry through the rest of the program.
Before we ask for more freedom, we build the relationship and communication to support it.
WEEK TWO
build & strengthen
With your dog settling into their new routine and a stronger relationship beginning to form, Week Two shifts toward building fluency and strengthening the skills that will eventually support greater freedom.
We’ll continue developing foundational obedience while increasing expectations around engagement, recall, impulse control, duration, distance, and responsiveness to cues. Your dog will begin practicing these skills through everyday routines, structured training sessions, neighborhood walks, play, and carefully selected outings.
This week also gives us time to identify where communication begins to break down as distractions increase. Rather than rushing toward off-leash work, we’ll strengthen those areas first and help your dog learn that listening and staying connected still matters when the world around them becomes more exciting.
Training begins expanding beyond simply knowing a skill and toward performing it with greater consistency, confidence, and reliability.
We build reliability before we build freedom.
WEEK THREE
distance & distractions
By Week Three, your dog has a stronger understanding of the expectations and communication we've been building. Now we begin asking those skills to hold up with more distance, greater distractions, and less direct guidance.
Training expands into a wider variety of real-world environments where we can work on recall, distance obedience, engagement, neutrality, impulse control, and responsiveness around the sights, sounds, people, dogs, and movement your dog may encounter during everyday adventures.
We’ll continue using long-line work as an important bridge toward off-leash reliability, gradually giving your dog more space to make choices while reinforcing that checking in, responding to cues, and staying connected still matter—even from farther away.
This week is about beginning to shift from “I can do this when you’re right beside me” to “I can make good choices even when I have more freedom.”
More distance. More distractions. The same connection.
WEEK FOUR
freedom & reliability
Week Four is where the skills we’ve spent the previous weeks building begin to come together. With stronger communication, recall, and responsiveness in place, we’ll begin working toward greater freedom while continuing to prioritize reliability and good decision-making.
Depending on your dog’s individual progress, training may begin transitioning from long-line work into carefully selected off-leash environments where we can practice recall, distance obedience, check-ins, boundaries, and responsiveness with fewer physical limitations.
We’ll continue increasing real-world challenges through trails, parks, open spaces, outdoor adventures, and other appropriate environments, teaching your dog that greater freedom doesn’t mean communication disappears.
This week is about helping your dog learn to make good choices independently while remaining connected and responsive to you, even when there’s an entire world around them they’d rather explore.
Freedom doesn’t replace communication. It puts it to the test.
WEEK FIVE
adventure & transition

THE TRANSITION MATTERS
Your dog’s five-week immersion is only part of the journey. The communication, recall, reliability, and freedom they build while living and training with me ultimately need to transfer to you, your routines, and the adventures you’ll share together.
That’s why Adventure Immersion includes hands-on owner education and continued support after your dog returns home. We’ll teach you how to use the same communication, handling, expectations, and routines your dog has been practicing throughout their stay, while helping you understand when and how to safely give them greater freedom.
Your follow-up lessons and group training give us opportunities to practice together, troubleshoot challenges, and continue building reliability around distance, distractions, new environments, and real-world adventures.
The goal isn’t for your dog to only have freedom with their trainer. It’s for you to feel confident continuing the work, strengthening the connection, and experiencing more of life together.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success in Adventure Immersion isn’t simply having a dog who can be off leash. It’s having a dog who chooses to stay connected, responds when it matters, and can confidently navigate the world with you.
For each dog, that may look a little different—but our goal is to build reliable communication, dependable recall, thoughtful decision-making, and greater confidence around real-world distractions, giving you a stronger foundation for the hikes, lake days, camping trips, travels, and everyday adventures ahead.
Because the real goal isn’t losing the leash—it’s gaining more life together. 🐾
